2018 MWKF Summer Camp
This year MWKF summer camp will be in Chicago. Guest instructors will include:
- Shigeki Yamanaka Sensei Kendo 8dan Hanshi
- Shigeki Saito Sensei Kendo 8dan Kyoshi
- Aki Suzuki Sensei Kendo 7dan Kyoshi
All participants must be current members of the Midwest Kendo Federation/AUSKF throuyour local MWKF Dojo. Contact your Dojo representative if you have any questions.

Housing: East Campus Student Residence Commons South (SRCS)

Check-in will be located at SRCC, corner of Harrison and Halsted.
Parking: Parking (HLPS) is available, structure parking just south of SRF.
Weekend rate (after 3pm on Friday) is $8.50 for 24hrs.
Registration Fees: Due by Sunday, June 30, 2018 (a $20 late fee after this date)
This year, it is a little bit different. Seminar, housing, meal fee are separate.
Number of housing is limited and it is first come first serve basis. So don’t wait until last
minute and register ASAP.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday June 2nd and 3rd, 2018

The Seminar will include both lectures and practical experience. All Kenshi from ANY AUSKF regional federation are invited to attend, however, participation as Shimpan and instruction will focus on more senior Kenshi (4 Dan and above) to improve their skills and evaluate them as prospective Shimpan for the U.S. National Championships. Attendees may also be able to participate in example Taikai matches and participate in the Godokeiko that will take place at the end of each day.
Fees: There is a $15 participation fee for any one who attends. All payments for participation, lunch and dinner will be collected at the door, CASH ONLY.
Bento are available for lunch on Saturday at $10 each
Dinner Party — Saturday night there will be a dinner and all are invited the estimated cost is $30 per person, drinks not included.
